Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2020

To be eligible for UPSC 2020 Exam, a candidate must be minimum of 21 years of age and a maximum of 32 years of age as on 1st August 2020. This means that he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1988 and not later than 1st August, 1999. Candidates belonging to the Reserved Categories also get relaxation on the Age Limit.   • Date of UPSC CSE Prelims 2020 and IFS Prelims 2020: May 31, 2020
  • Date of UPSC CSE Mains 2020: September 18, 2020
  • Date of UPSC IFS Mains 2020: November 22, 2020 (Only for Indian Forest Service Aspirants)
              UPSC will be conducting IAS 2020 in three different stages

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Mains Exam
  • Interview Process

Preliminary Exam: This exam will be conducted in Offline Mode and the medium of the exam in which it will be conducted will be Bilingual (i.e. both English & Hindi). Two Papers will be asked in the Preliminary Phase of Examination: General Studies (Paper I) & General Studies (Paper II). The cumulative score of both these papers will be around 400 and candidates have to score a minimum of 33% marks to qualify for the Mains Exam.

Mains Exam: This exam will constitute of 9 papers in total, 2 language papers and 7 other papers that will be general studies paper and optional papers. Questions asked will be descriptive answer type and will be provided in both English & Hindi, except for the language papers.

NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY & NAVAL ACADEMY EXAMINATION (I), 2020 Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 2001 and not later than 1st July, 2004 are eligible. ) Educational Qualifications:
(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class
pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent
examination conducted by a State Education Board or a
University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence
Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian

Naval Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School
Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted
by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2
pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also
apply for this examination.
(i) The Online Applications can be filled upto 28th January, 2020 till 6:00 PM.
(ii) The online Applications can be withdrawn from 04.02.2020 to 11.02.2020
till 6:00 PM. Detailed instructions regarding withdrawal of Applications is
available at Appendix-II (B).  An Examination will be conducted by the Union
Public Service Commission on 19th April, 2020 for admission to the
Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 145th Course, and
for the 107th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from
2nd January, 2021.
